Park & Pavilion Rules


2016 SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT PARKS & REC RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  • Park hours are from 8:00 a.m. until sundown.
  • Charcoal fires are permitted in the BBQ grills only.
  • Extra grills for larger crowds are permitted.
  • Operation of vehicles permitted on cart-ways designed and constructed for vehicular traffic only.
  • Pets must be on a leash not more than 6 feet in length and ALL droppings must be cleaned up.
  • Please put trash, garbage, and litter in the refuse cans provided.
  • Park only in designated areas.
  • Portable restrooms are available.
  • Electrical receptacles are available at each pavilion.
  • When using electrical receptacles in the pavilions please plug in ONLY TWO electrical items in each receptacle.

  • The Following Are Prohibited in the Park Area
  • Non-licensed motor vehicles, including snowmobiles, mopeds, and ATV’s
  • Horses
  • Distribution, selling services, soliciting without a permit, or renting any commodity without prior permission from Borough Administration
  • Alcoholic beverages or narcotics
  • Games involving thrown or propelled objects except in areas set apart for such forms of recreation; without prior permission from Borough Administration
  • Golfing
  • Modifying any present structure or facility
  • Indecent or threatening language or any abusive or indecent acts
  • Disturbance of water fountains, streams, ponds, or basins
  • Disturbance of bird nests, eggs, or any other wild habitat
  • Erection of any temporary or permanent structure such as tents, etc; without prior permission from Borough Administration
  • Foot or bicycle traffic in unlighted areas after sundown
  • Intentional breaking, cutting down, removing, injuring, or defacing any ornament, tree, plant, shrub, fern, flower, or turf
  • Hunting, shooting, trapping, or carrying of firearms, air rifles, bows, arrows, slings, slingshots, fireworks, or other weapons
  • Damaging, destroying, defacing, adding to, or removing park property including equipment
  • Defacing or destroying any notices, rules, or regulations that posted or permanently fixed within park limits
